Target Audience: School leaders (and teachers from their school they invite to join).

The research backs up what we know from experience: coaching interactions are the most effective PD. But coaching initiatives are challenging to scale and manage within the time constraints inherent in schools. Technology and video can help overcome these challenges and support a truly effective, job-embedded professional growth system for not only teachers but those who support them.

This session will provide a demonstration of the online ADVANCE platform including the processes for uploading and providing feedback on videos, utilizing the Human Capital Management System, calibrating observers on instruction, and more.

Participants will:

1.    Explore the research and best practice around using video in coaching.
2.    Learn practical ideas for implementing video in coaching initiatives.
3.    See and discuss examples of video coaching in action
